In November, we invited both children and families from the CCPRF community to join us for our Halloween Scavenger Hunt. The event was filled with interactive fun, the excitement of discovery, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends along the way.
Beyond the laughter and games, the experience also inspired something meaningful—helping children realize that writing a book isn’t distant or unreachable. Publishing doesn’t have to be intimidating; the creation of a book can start right here, right now, and with them.
Step 1: Find the Little Witch
Participants started their journey by finding the Little Witch to receive their treasure map and question card. She explained the game rules and guided everyone on how to begin the adventure. The Little Witch was incredibly attentive, guiding every child with care and enthusiasm! ✨🎃
Step 2: Little Writers Get Ready
Our young authors were ready and waiting in their own “caves” for young readers to arrive. In total, 7 little writers participated, set up across 4 themed caves, creating an exciting and immersive experience for everyone.
Step 3: Interactive Discovery in the Caves
With their question cards in hand, readers visited different caves to find the young authors. By asking three questions, they earned a sticker. The conversations covered a wide range of topics:
- What is your story about?
- Is your story funny, scary, or happy?
- How did you think of your story idea?
- Do you draw pictures for your stories too?
- How did you feel when you finished your book?
Through these interactions, warm and genuine connections were formed. Children discovered that with imagination, curiosity, and courage, they too can become young authors one day.

Reward 1: Face Painting Station A professional face painter used safe, child-friendly paints to create fun designs for kids who collected their three stickers.
Reward 2: Coloring Books Every participant received a special coloring book as a memento of their adventure.
